Riffage Support
Riffage is an iPhone app for guitar and bass players. Record riffs over a click, tune up, keep your songs, setlists and gigs together, and learn the neck.
Common questions
The tuner or recorder doesn't hear anything.
Riffage needs microphone access. Open iPhone Settings, scroll down to Riffage and turn on Microphone. If you use a guitar interface, check that it's plugged in and its input level is up.
Can I tune a 7-string guitar or a bass?
Yes. In the tuner, pick Guitar or Bass and the number of strings. Guitar goes from 6 to 9 strings and bass from 4 to 6.
Where are my recordings saved?
On your iPhone, inside the app. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. If you delete the app, its recordings and songs are deleted too, so make a backup first.
How do I back up or move my riffs to a new phone?
With Riffage Pro, tap the drive button at the top of the Riffs tab to save one backup file with every recording, song, setlist and gig. Save it to Files or AirDrop it. On the new phone, open the same screen and restore it. Restoring only adds what's missing, so nothing gets duplicated.
What do Nashville numbers mean?
They write a chord chart as numbers instead of chord names, so the same chart works in any key. In the key of G, 1 is G, 4 is C and 5 is D. Riffage switches between numbers and chord names for you, in any key.
How does the free trial work?
You can start a 7-day free trial of Pro from the upgrade screen. It never charges you and does not renew. When it ends, Pro features lock again and everything you made stays.
How do I restore Riffage Pro?
Open any Pro feature (for example Theory, then CAGED), tap to see the Pro screen, and tap Restore Purchase. Use the same Apple Account you bought it with. Pro can be shared with your Family Sharing group.
Can I use a page-turner pedal in stage mode?
Yes, with Riffage Pro. Most Bluetooth page-turner pedals work. Pair the pedal in iPhone Settings, then open stage mode and press it to move between songs.
