Riffage Privacy Policy

Last updated November 6, 2026

Riffage does not collect, sell or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking, and the app doesn't connect to the internet. Everything you record and enter stays on your iPhone.

What stays on your phone

Your riff recordings, songs, chord charts, setlists, gigs, practice history, custom tunings and settings are stored only on your iPhone. They are not sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them.

Microphone

Riffage uses the microphone to record your riffs and to hear the note you play in the tuner. Recordings are saved on your iPhone. The tuner listens only while it's open and doesn't save what it hears. You can turn off microphone access any time in iPhone Settings.

Notifications

Gig reminders and the free trial reminder are created on your iPhone. No notification server is involved. You can turn them off in iPhone Settings.

Backups and sharing

When you make a backup, share a setlist or export a PDF, Riffage creates a file and hands it to the iPhone share sheet. Where it goes from there (Files, AirDrop, Messages or another app) is up to you.

Directions

If you tap a gig's address, Riffage opens Apple Maps with that address. Apple Maps handles the request under Apple's privacy policy.

Purchases

Riffage Pro and the free trial are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple's privacy policy covers those purchases.

Children

Riffage is suitable for all ages and doesn't collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
